FAR OUT GAMES

These boards were created as a part of the School of motion’s Illustration for motion course. The brief was to create playful style frames for an animated advertisement, introducing the release of ‘Far Out Games' new retro styled playing cards.

I had to pull inspiration from various mediums from the 60s, such as: lifestyle magazines, vintage objects, old photographs, ads, 60s movies & tv shows.

The challenge was to make sure the frames portrayed & were inspired by the 1960s while still looking like modern pieces.

For my frames, I decided to go with bright yet desaturated colors to showcase the extremely lively & popping trends of the late 60s, yet staying true to the less daring style of the early years of the decade.

I was strongly inspired by the character design used in magazines & animated adverts of that time.
